With reference to the third paragraph of my 43) despatch No.525 of 15th October, 1934 I have the honour

to inform you that the question of introducing legislation m 30231

to limit the age of mui-tsai to eighteen was referred to

34 the Mui-tsai Committee for interim consideration; and to

forward a copy of the reply on the subject from Mr. F. H.

Loseby, Chairman.

In view of the opinion therein expressed, I do not propose to take any action in this respect pending the receipt of the full Report from the Committee.
